We are a partner organization of the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests. As the Forest Service implements the increase pace and scale of risk reduction and fuels mitigation work under the federal Wildfire Crisis Strategy, Discover Your Forest is helping to educate our local communities on these topics and facilitate conversation with the public and land managers. The filming will be followed by a panel
discussion with the district ranger, a fuels/fire manager, the local
fire chief, and a local forest ecologist from The Nature Conservancy in
Sisters, Oregon (the highest at-risk fireshed in Oregon).
